Car loans with bad credit
A low credit score narrows the options but does not automatically decide the outcome. Here is what Autora's underwriting actually weighs, and what you can change.
Check your rate with a soft credit checkWhat underwriting weighs besides the score
Income stability and payment-to-income ratio carry real weight. A modest score with steady income and a low payment relative to that income presents differently from the same score without them.
The vehicle matters too. Because the car is collateral, its value and age affect the lender's exposure and therefore the decision.
Autora cannot and does not guarantee approval. Every application is underwritten individually.
What improves your odds
A larger down payment reduces the amount financed and the lender's risk at the same time, and is the single most effective lever most applicants control.
Choosing a less expensive vehicle lowers the payment-to-income ratio directly. A creditworthy co-applicant can also change the picture.
If an application is declined
You will receive an adverse action notice explaining the principal reasons for the decision, as federal law requires. That notice is worth reading — it names what to address before applying again.
